It's all part of our Leave a Legacy program, and we're inviting you to help us make an impact.
Legacy is key to the story of Mukul. From the very beginning, our founder Carlos Pellas made certain we would be a pillar of the community. From providing hospitality training in nearby towns to envisioning a better future for all of Nicaragua.
But we know that our Mukul family can only do so much. That's why we invite guests to join us on school visits, help us collect donations, or get their hands dirty painting a house.
We've been honored to have guests from all over the world join us in our mission of giving back to the community that has given us so much.

Ensuring high-quality care for children
APROQUEN, Central America's premier non-profit burn center, provides free, state-of-the-art comprehensive care to children suffering from burn injuries, as well as cleft lips and palates.

Visit the center and see first-hand the work being done to transform the lives of thousands of children in Nicaragua. Be part of this life-changing journey and turn tears into smiles.
Access to clean drinking water
Since our inception, we've donated and installed water filters in our community and built wells. We have already seen a reduction in the number and frequency of diseases..
How you can leave a legacy:
Ask us how you can help with purchasing and transporting filters down to Nicaragua. Then travel with us to the local health centre and a nearby community and assist with delivering water filters or digging wells.

We support 600 students in local schools with investments in school supplies, visual educational materials, books, school snacks, backpacks, uniforms, and shoes.
How you can leave a legacy:
You can bring school supplies and visit the school to deliver them to the children. Even join in a reading circle or offer to share experiences from your home that will expose the children to a different world!

From a 20% decrease in school dropouts to helping 600 students participate in "My Clean Nicaragua" environmental campaigns, we're immensely proud of the work our extended Mukul family has accomplished.
We've even got 70% of community students now actively participating in sports programs like softball, football, volleyball, and even a dance program!
