#AlwaysAuberge Adventurer: Joyful Luxury with Supermom Vanessa Scott

Today, we'd love to introduce you to Vanessa Scott, also known as @thisjoyful_life. Vanessa has visited Mukul multiple times, but this time she brought her beautiful daughter with her... and has gorgeous photos to show off!
We asked her to tell us a bit about her #AlwaysAuberge experience...
What drew you to Mukul Resort?
In 2013, my husband and I read an article about Mukul opening. My family being from Nicaragua, I was already aware of the country's beauty. We were so excited to experience the ultimate 5-star vacation in paradise. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
What was the most unexpected part of your trip?
We were obviously expecting luxury, but what was so unexpected was the beauty of Mukul's location. The stunning pristine beaches, cliffs, and jungles are just magical! There is so much to see and do. We didn’t feel like we needed to leave the resort. We felt like we were the only ones there which was so special.
As someone who traveled for the first time to Nicaragua, my husband couldn’t believe the level and quality of service. This is a place for great adventures, or a place to just unwind and escape.
What would you like the world to know about the Emerald Coast?
This is a place filled with beauty in every corner! A place for you to come discover nature. A place for adventure and cultural immersion. Even as a Nicaraguan-American I was still taken aback by its beauty and the beautiful people of Nicaragua that truly make the experience even better. We’ve since been back three times and can’t wait to return.
What do you think makes Mukul perfect for families with children?
On our first trip to Mukul, we went without kids and it was the prefect romantic getaway we were looking for. We did, however, discover that they offer so many kids activities and since 2013 the list has grown.
We were able to take our youngest on this last trip, but cannot wait to bring our older kids to discover and learn about this beautiful country. Mukul caters to families which as a mom I really appreciate. We are excited for the adventures and cultural immersion our older children will receive when we return.
